Batang Gilas fell yet again, this time at the hands of France, 95-54, at the 2018 FIBA Under-17 World Cup in Rosario, Argentina.

The only time the Philippines were able to taste the lead was at the start of the second quarter courtesy of Carl Tamayo. Kai Sotto would later on pad that lead, 21-17. From there, the nationals never knew what hit them.

Hounded by turnovers yet again, Batang Gilas fell behind France, capped by a dunk from 6-foot-6 shooting guard Malcolm Cazalon. The French never looked back from there.
