Glen Rice Jr. would have been a big star in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) as an import had he kept his act and cool in place. Starting sluggishly, the former NBA player made waves until that crucial outburst that saw him ejected and leaving TnT KaTropa unceremoniously.

The understanding then was that Filipino fans have seen the last of Glen Rice Jr. Aside from that skirmish with Kevin Ferrer of Barangay Ginebra, the 26-year-old drew was also seen snapping at KaTropa alternate governor Patrick Gregorio. He left on a whim without even apologizing.

After three weeks, Rice Jr. has sent a letter apologizing to TnT management for the unfortunate tantrum. According to Spin.ph, the move may have been spurred by the second round draft pick of the 2013 NBA Draft to gain clearance. He is set to suit up for the Hapoel Holon team over at the Israeli Premier League. The letter was addressed to Gregorio, Virgil Villavicencio, Josh Reyes and coach Nash Racela.

It remains to be seen how TnT will respond to the letter of apology. Sincere or not, it seems TnT will have the last laugh aside from the fines that Rice accumulated while he was still here.

The temperamental NBA star was fined $10,000 for his unprofessional behavior. This was aside from the PBA-meted fine of PHP 26,000 for his various infractions – including making obscene gestures as he was being escorted out of the playing court.

Either way, seeing Rice Jr. back in the PBA is close to impossible unless some other team takes a chance. Again, that would require clearance from TnT.

Should TnT accept Glen Rice Jr.’s apology?
