Niantic continues to roll out improvements for “Pokemon Go” and the latest word out are new shiny variants for the hit augmented reality game. After Magikarp, Gyarados, Pichu, Pikachu and Raichu, gamers have allegedly spotted shiny Shuppets and Banettes out in the wild.

This means that five of the third generation ghost-type Pokemon have been added to the game, making the Halloween event all the more interesting this 2017.

For those who may have missed it, other shiny variants who have already cropped in the game include Duskull, Dusclops and Sableye. Since their release, it seemed like a no-brainer to see the shiny versions of Shuppet and Banette come out.

With the new shiny “Pokemon Go” critters loose, more gamers are expected to be busy trying to catch them and update their Pokedex. They are expected to be found at random or perhaps at stops and special events which seem to be aplenty as we speak.

The Halloween event for “Pokemon Go” is expected to finish soon so it will be interesting which pocket monsters will be left roaming after that. The next big event for the augmented reality game is expected to kick off this Christmas, one expected to include a new round of bonuses, goodies and Pokemon from Niantic. For now, enjoy the season of the spooks and hunt down those elusive critters!
