Manila Water voted as FinanceAsia’s Best Managed Utility Company in Asia

East zone concessionaire Manila Water led all Asian utility companies as it was voted the Best Managed Utility Company in Asia by the prestigious FinanceAsia during its 17th Annual Best Companies in Asia Poll.

For the 17th year, FinanceAsia has asked investors for their views on which listed companies around Asia they consider to be the best managed, with the best senior executives, and the best policies around corporate governance.

Manila Water’s leading role in the water industry was based on FinanceAsia’s poll responses from more than 185 portfolio managers and buy-side analysts from around the world, running mandates that included, or were dedicated to, Asian listed companies.

Manila Water, the Ayala-led water and used water concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, said it is honored to be given such a prestigious recognition from the banking and financial sector as it vowed to continue upholding its commitment to provide quality water and used water services to more than 6.5 million customers in eastern Metro Manila and Rizal Province.
