The second season of “Stranger Things” has a release date. Netflix revealed that the show is set to be back on Halloween. The confirmation was made during the second half of Super Bowl 51 via a short teaser release.

“Stranger Things” has been TV’s biggest hit for 2016. The story about a group of pre-teeners set in the ’80s has received both critical and viewer acclaim since Season 1 rolled out in July on the streaming site.

In the fall, “Stranger Things” started filming for Season 2 with many of the original cast like Winona Ryder, David Harbour and breakout star Millie Bobby Brown expected to return. The rest of the young cast will also be complete, but new faces will also be introduced in the upcoming season such as Paul Reiser, Sean Austin, Linnea Berthelsen and Sadie Sink.

TV Line reports that Berthelsen has an important role as the “an emotionally damaged, magnetic young woman who suffered a great loss as a child.” The character is not based in the small Hawkins down but she’s still connected to the supernatural events, the site further reports.

“Stranger Things” Season 2 will pick up one year after the show ended. Eleven has been missing and Will has returned, albeit he’s experiencing some mysterious changes after staying in the Upside Down for over a week. Check out the teaser to the new season below.
