TV Revivals: James Franco on ‘Freaks & Geeks,’ Zach Braff on ‘Scrubs’

Scrubs
TV revivals are all the rage, thanks to the popularity of “Gilmore Girls” and “Fuller House” on Netflix, as well as the success of “The X-Files” on Fox. Then there’s also talks of a “Will and Grace” revival, which was briefly teased just before the elections.

Now, James Franco of “Freaks & Geeks” and Zach Braff of “Scrubs” are jumping on the bandwagon. Though deals have yet to actually be set about the revivals of their shows, here’s what the actors have to say about it.

On “Freaks & Geeks,” James Franco suggests that it could be the gang’s 20th year high school reunion and that his character, Daniel, could have a storyline about not actually living town, Vanity Fair reports.

The series, set in the 80s and ran in the 90s, became a cult favorite and has launched the careers of Franco, Jason Segel and Seth Rogen as actors. The show gave Hollywood Samm Levine, Paul Feig and Judd Apatow who have become acclaimed producers and filmmakers.

Meanwhile, Zach Braff from “Scrubs” has expressed during a Twitter Q & A that talks between him and his co-stars and crew on the show are constantly happening. “We talk about it every now and then,” he said about a potential revival. “So you never know. It could happen. I’d do it.”

“Scrubs” ran for eight season on NBC. It also had a Season 9 on ABC, which included a new cast of TV doctors.
