‘The Walking Dead’ Negan Victims: What [SPOILER] Think Of Their Death Scenes?
It finally happened. After months of waiting, fans have learned who was the victim of Negan’s brutal killing in “The Walking Dead.” Unfortunately, there were two characters killed off from tonight’s Season 7 premiere, as spoiler sites have predicted. So, what do the actors playing the characters think of their deaths?
“It was fun to lie to people,” said Steven Yeun, who played Glenn on the show. “But after awhile you just can’t lie anymore, so I just stopped talking to people,” the actor told TV Guide.
The other character who died under Negan’s hands was Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), who still fought to the bitter end. However, Glenn’s death bears more pain for viewers of the show since Glenn, who had been in the series from the very beginning, won’t be able to meet his baby with wife Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Maggie is in the early stages of her pregnancy in “The Walking Dead.”
The actors of “The Walking Dead” admit that shooting the death scenes had been riddled with emotions, especially since they have to say goodbye to people they have worked with for years.
Both also believe that their characters were given a fitting ending.”It’s appropriate that he ends there and also appropriate that he puts those last words out as a final look out for each other,” Yeun said about Glenn. Meanwhile, Cudlitz was only happy that his character met a satisfying death scene. “I thought it was awesome. And I think it’s very, very appropriate for him to go out that way,” he said per Entertainment Weekly.
