Amber Heard is not keeping the money she gets from ex-husband Johnny Depp. After the couple has settled their divorce, she stands to get $7 million, but reports say, she’ is giving this to charity instead.

According to Page Six, Heard is going to split the amount and donate the proceeds to the American Civil Liberties Union and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. The former charity is an organization that upholds women’s’ rights. In the divorce, it was revealed that Amber Heard was physically abused by Johnny Depp many times during their marriage.

They were married for at least 18 months, but have been together since 2012. The divorce, which surfaced in May after Heard revealed she was beaten by her then-husband in photos, was finally granted on Tuesday, Aug. 16, in Los Angeles. Heard supposedly agreed to settle and no longer contested the grounds. The actress is also going to vacate the condo she used to share with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor.

The news of the settlement money comes as Depp accused Heard of being a money-grabber. However, with the divorce finally granted, it looks like he’s also changing his tune about his relationship with his ex-wife.

“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love,” said Depp in a statement per The Guardian. “Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain. There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm.”
