Could “Veronica Mars” return for another round of episodes? Its star, Kristen Bell, says that there is a possibility and it will all have to rely on the fans who continue to love the series.

Speaking at the TCA to promote her latest show, “The Good Place” on NBC, Bell said that there are talks about a “Veronica Mars” reboot. “Our primary concern is, is there still an audience,” the actress said, per TV Guide, and added, “Which we feel like there is. And if people want it, we will still try to make it.”

The teen series “Veronica Mars” ran for three seasons on The CW between 2004 to 2007. It has created a niche fan base that still relive the show, especially on the internet.

In 2014, “Veronica Mars” released a special one-off TV movie that was launched for a limited time on The CW’s digital content arm, The CW Seed.  It has updated what the characters are up to, which provided the fans either more insights and closure to the show. This special production was crowdfunded online, but Bell said that if they are doing it again, they will be tapping on studios or networks.

However, Bell also said that doing a “Veronica Mars” reboot might not be an immediate challenge because of her commitment with her new show and Rob Thomas, the creator, is also busy with “iZombie” on The CW. But the doors aren’t closed and it could still happen. “[We could] do some sort of mini-series, or some sort of truncated series where it wasn’t 22 episodes…” the actress said.
