After so much speculation, “Attack On Titan” Season 2 is finally going to air on television. Its Japanese website confirmed the date in a Twitter post on July 3.

The tweet, which when translated to Japanese, actually stated,” TV anime Attack on Titan Season 2, broadcast information is also new to the public! 2017 is a spring broadcast start! Looking forward to!!” It has immediately received thousands of retweets and likes, an indication that fans have indeed been waiting for the official news.

The follow up to “Attack on Titan” took awhile to deliver the second season, as there were reports that the producers ran out of materials from the manga series at the time of its production. However, slowly but surely, the story started coming together as more of the manga was written.

Now that a confirmed date is coming, from the show’s production itself, it’s high time fans end the speculation as to when it will air.

“Attack on Titan” Season 1 ran from April to September in 2013 and the home video was subsequently released in 2014. It was also announced on that same year that the show would get a second season. “Attack on Titan” also brought a spinoff as a live-action movie and TV show. These have a separate fan base, just like the anime and manga, per Anime News Network.
