Sarah Jessica Parker is heading for “Divorce,” but this is actually her new TV show on HBO. The show is expected to debut on the cable channel in the fall and will also star Thomas Haden Church as her husband.

The series will feature 10 episodes where Sarah Jessica Parker plays Frances, who works as an executive producer and is married to Robert. In her mid-life, she begins to “reassess her life and her marriage” and then decide to start over with a clean slate. But it’s not always that easy.

The series, which is  a half-hour comedy, will also feature Molly Shannon, Talia Balsam, Tracy Letts, Sterling Jerins and Charlie Kilgore. Sarah Jessica Parker serves as executive producer to the series as well.

“Divorce” comes more than ten years after the actress did her last show on HBO. Sarah Jessica Parker used to star in the hit series “Sex and the City,” which ran from 1998 to 2004 and was about single women. “Divorce” is clearly a different flavor for the star this time around as it deals with complicated married life.

“I think marriage is wonderfully complicated and wonderfully interesting, and everybody conducts their marriage differently,” the actress, who is married to Matthew Broderick and has three kids, told Entertainment Tonight. “We know almost nothing about people’s marriage, because even those who we’re most intimate with in friendships, we don’t always share the good or the bad. And I just think that at a certain point, some people feel alone and lost.”

The actress was eager to announce her new show on Instagram and wrote,” A long time coming. And a great thrill that my friends @hbo allowed me to share with you the official FIRST look and just a wee appetizer of #DivorceonHBO.”
