“NCIS” Season 14 on CBS is adding a new character who will be played by Wilmer Valderrama (“That 70’s Show”). The actor’s character is described as a “loose cannon” and he will be a regular on the show.

Specifically, Wilmer Valderrama will play a field agent who has been assigned as a deep cover agent. But he’s now back at the NCIS and is still trying to adjust to the way things are. He resurfaced after many of his colleagues thought that he is already dead.

But while described as a loose cannon, his character, who is still unnamed, is also a known as quite charismatic, but slightly unpredictable. “Wilmer Valderrama will be able to flex his dramatic, physical, and comedic talents in this classic NCIS role,” the show’s executive producer, Gary Glasberg, said per CBS. Viewers of “NCIS” are going to love his character’s addition and fans of the actor will see him in a role that he hasn’t done before, according to the executive.

Wilmer Valderrama is also known for his work in “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Minority Report.”

“NCIS” is one of CBS’ longest running top rating shows with Mark Harmon in the lead role. Last season, Michael Weatherly left the show after being part of it for many years. The previous season also saw the guest appearance of Michelle Obama, who played herself, when the show did a story in the White House.

“NCIS” returns in the fall, but all of its episodes are currently streamed on CBS All Access.
