Amiable daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has been named in a lawsuit filed by a woman from Georgia. She claimed that the joke the TV host made about her advertisement caused emotional distress, so she is suing the star of “Finding Dory.”

Titi Pierce, 35, referred to segment “What’s Wong With These Ads…. and These Signs?” that ran on the “Ellen” talk show back in February. DeGeneres supposedly alluded that her name is said as “titty” when it is actually “Tee Tee.”

“In all of her 35 years of life, no one has ever referred to Ms Pierce as “titty” until the Defendant did so on February 22, 2016 on national television,” the lawsuit stated. It also pointed out that the show didn’t delete her cellphone number in the segment, hence she received a lot of calls directed at “ridiculing and harassing” her.

At the time this happened, Titi Pierce was attending a family funeral out of town. “Bahhh, your name is titty Pierce, bahhh, bahhh, titty, bahhh, Ellen DeGeneres told me to call you,” said a voice on her phone, per  New York Daily News.

According to the Independent, her name means actually means “flower” in the Nigerian language. Titi Pierce is suing Ellen DeGeneres for defamation, emotional distress, invasion of privacy and misappropriation of likeness. She has also named Warner Bros. in the lawsuit. Her lawyers are also prohibiting the show from further airing the segment.

Ellen DeGeneres has not made any comments about the lawsuit in the press and on the show so far, per TMZ.
