The Golden State Warriors are now a win away from booking a return trip to the Western Conference Finals after escaping with 132-125 win against the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 4 of their 2016 NBA Playoffs second-round series.

Steph Curry, who missed the first three games of the 2016 NBA Playoffs second-round series with a sprained right knee, erupted for 17 points in overtime to give the Warriors a huge win on the road against the dangerous Trail Blazers squad.

Portland looked poised to tie the series, but the Warriors made big plays down the stretch in regulation to force an extra five minutes. Curry, who is expected to be named Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive season, took over in the extra period and finished the game with 40 points.

“I love this game, I love playing and love competing. And really, really missed being out there with my teammates,” Curry said via ESPN. “To help our team get a win tonight and in that fashion, that was a good feeling in that moment to be back on the floor and playing.”

Curry, who now holds the record for most points scored in an overtime period, was supposed to see limited action on Monday night. But Warriors coach Steve Kerr was forced to push the panic button after guard Shaun Livingston was ejected in the second quarter, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise for the Warriors.

Draymond Green also had another solid performance for the Warriors as he finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, seven blocks, five assists and four steals for the Warriors. Klay Thompson added 23 points with five three-pointers, while Marreese Speights and Harrison Barnes added 11 and 10 markers, respectively.

The Warriors could close out the series when they host the Trail Blazers on Wednesday night at the Oracle Arena. The winner of the series will face either the San Antonio Spurs or the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2016 NBA Playoffs Western Conference Finals.
