Globe, PSIA to help bring lasting change in work habits of leaders for a #wonderfulPH

Globe Telecom and the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA) have joined hands in sharing techniques that will bring about lasting change in a leader’s work habits and overall attitude for the creation of a #wonderfulPH.

Through the enablement seminar scheduled this month, leaders will be taught how to take command in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous workplace through “vision, understanding, clarity and agility.”

“A leader is someone who is able to guide people to new heights. This enablement seminar will provide some potential solutions to developing effective leaders who will do just that,” said Natalie Hunter, PSIA Executive Director.

The seminar is also aligned with Globe Telecom’s sustainable development advocacy to build a surplus of leaders.

“Globe believes that each employee has the making of a leader regardless of their rank and stature, thus, it is the company’s leadership and development objective to build a surplus of leaders to deepen its talent bench and sustain its business operations. This seminar is one good way of sharing that vision,” said Anne Michelle Santos, Product Manager for Digital Media – Globe Labs.

In the mini-workshop, executives, managers, supervisors and other potential leaders will learn about the science behind what they can do to implement lasting change that will lead to clarity of mind, understanding themselves and others so that they can lead their teams better, self-awareness towards self-mastery, a happy and fulfilling work life, and becoming well-loved by the people they work with.

PSIA and Globe, through its developer community Globe Labs, first collaborated last year for PSIA’s 20th enablement seminar with the theme “Are You Mobile Ready?” Topics discussed were mobile application platforms, emerging platforms and future trends and cross platform development.

PSIA holds Enablement Seminars every quarter to provide insights and to tackle emerging and relevant issues in the software and information technology sector while also encouraging discourse between industry, academe and government.

PSIA is the major association of Philippine software development firms engaged in IT outsourcing (ITO) and is composed of about 170 members. Its vision is to drive the Philippine software services and products to attain global leadership in market share, mindshare, and innovation.

To be facilitated by Dinah Salonga, co-founder and former Managing Director of SQL *Wizard, Inc. and Managing Director of Yogaplus, Inc. this month’s half-day activity will be held on March 17 at Microsoft Philippines, 8th Floor (Visayas Function Room), 6750 Ayala Avenue, Makati City from 1 pm to 5 pm.
