While singer and “The Voice” judge and mentor Gwen Stefani does not say why her marriage to Gavin Rossdale ended, she admits that there is a “juicy story” to the split.
Following a 13-year-marriage, Stefani and Rossdale split in 2015. Sources say that Rossdale engaged in extra-marital affairs with the family’s nanny. But the singer won’t confirm if this is tru.
“If I could, I would just tell you everything, and you would just be in shock. It’s a really good, juicy story,” said Stefani.
In an earlier interview with the New York Times, the “Used To Love You” songstress revealed that she felt dead in her marriage. “I’m gonna die. I am dead, actually. How do I save myself? What am I going to do? How do I not go down like this?”
To pacify her loneliness, the singer wrote songs and got back to the studio, which she now regards as her lifesaver. “Being in that room and being creative, it was the only place that felt good — I was like, I love the smell of this room.”
However, Stefani is in better spirits after falling in love with her fellow coach on “The Voice,” Blake Shelton. But she admits she is still recovering from the divorce. “I’m not going to say I’m not still picking up the pieces and every day isn’t a challenge,” she said. “I’m still in shock. But it’s an awesome time.”
