Zayn Malik has canceled his first solo appearance on TV following the split from One Direction.

Entertainment Weekly  reported that the young singer was supposed to be on “The Graham Norton Show” for Friday to promote his new singe “Pillotalk.” But the former boyband member decided to hold off due to a “scheduling conflict.”

Apparently, Zayn has a recording commitment and thus will not be able to make it to the TV talk show. “Zayn has confirmed that he would love to appear on the show at a later date,” according to Zayn’s rep.

According to BBC News, Zayn was supposed to appear along with guests Will Smith and Ryan Reynolds. Instead, his first camera interview will be happening on Apple Music’s radio station, Beats 1.

“Pillowtalk” will be released on Friday, Jan. 29. The singer describes his song as alluding to sex. “Everybody has sex, and it’s something people want to hear about,” he said via BBC. “It’s part of everybody’s life, a very big part of life! And you don’t want to sweep it under the carpet. It has to be talked about.”
