It’s the holidays and you probably have the extra time to watch this “X-Files” behind-the-scenes feature from the show creators.

The 20-minute video, released one month before the revival series begins, shows footage and interviews that will shed light on what viewers can expect. “The X-Files” creator Chris Carter tells fans in the video, “‘The X-Files’ is really back as a result of its fans. We wouldn’t be coming back without them,” according to Variety.

Carter also talks about the show’s story arc and “twist” for the upcoming series, as well as the more familiar “monster of the week” format in between the episodes.

The preview also features Mulder (David Duchovny), Scully (Gillian Anderson), Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), The Smoking Man (William B. Davis) and some of the newer cast members iike Joel McHale.  The preview further reveals that Mulder and Scully had a child together, but that they are no longer a couple. It should be recalled that the two got on in the movie spinoff “I Want To Believe.” Their child, now a teenager, will be part of the current investigations.

Watch the short clip as a refresher for former “X-Files viewers and as a guide for those who will be watching the series for the first time (some spoilers ahead).

The series, which originally ran from 1993 to 2002, will debut its six-episode revivial on Jan. 24, 2016 on FOX.
