Combining Fashion and Technology, the neyya digital companion is available today in new retailers MacMall, SkyMall, Donna Karan’s Urban Zen and Aha Life

SAN FRANCISCO — Gearing up for CES, the wearables trend continues to rise and cause feverish excitement for 2016. Newcomer neyya launched their digital companion smart ring in November, partnered with a long list of high-end retailers, as industry veterans Microsoft and Apple made announcements for a smart ring patents.

neyya has now added a new range of retail partners including SkyMall, MacMall, Donna Karan’s Urban Zen and Aha Life, bringing fashion and technology to the forefront of wearables. Smart rings are a hot ticket item as innovation agent PSFK predicting that 2016’s focus will move away from the wrist to other types of wearables.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled by the continued validation from our amazing retail partners on neyya,” says neyya’s President Sonia Hunt. “Our primary focus has always been to allow people to be engaged while not being distracted by the technology itself, whether at work or at play. We want you to be able to focus on what’s important and be productive.”

“The neyya ring purposely does not have a screen because we don’t want to introduce yet another device into your life which forces you to go back to look at your phone or laptop to actually do something. neyya gives you the freedom to move through slides and focus on your presentation, accept/reject calls and texts without looking at your phone and even shoot video using GoPro while keeping your eyes on the road and not fumbling around with your device.”

neyya is available in Titanium (US $139) and Gold (US $179) inclusive of taxes, and in a variety of sizes. Out-of-the-box, neyya works with other connected devices such as GoPro HERO, Roku, and Philips Hue lighting with more to be announced

neyya was conceived in the Startup Village in Kochi, India. In 2014 the first prototype was presented at TechCrunch’s Hardware Battlefield during CES. neyya subsequently was incubated and now headquartered in San Francisco, with it’s global teams for software and manufacturing in India and Japan respectively.
