Class suspensions for Dec. 16 due to Typhoon ‘Nona’ (‘Melor’)

Typhoon “Nona” (International name: Melor) has forced the suspension of classes in various parts of the Philippines for December 16, 2015.

Below is the updates list of cities and regions where classes have been cancelled (as of 11 p.m.)

Metro Manila

  • Caloocan City – all levels
  • Las Piñas – all levels
  • Malabon City – all levels
  • Makati City – all levels
  • Mandaluyong City – all levels
  • Manila – all levels
  • Marikina City – all levels
  • Muntinlupa City – all levels
  • Navotas City – all levels
  • Paranaque City – all levels
  • Pasay City – all levels
  • Pasig City – all levels
  • Pateros – all levels
  • Quezon City – all levels
  • San Juan City – all levels
  • Taguig – all levels
  • Valenzuela City – all levels

Regional

  • Batangas province – all levels
  • Cavite province – all levels
  • Laguna province – all levels
  • Oriental Mindoro province – all levels
  • Rizal province – all levels

Storm signal no. 3 was hoisted over Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island as of 5 p.m.

Storm signal no. 2 on the other hand was declared over Batangas, Cavite, Marinduque, Romblon and the Calamian group of Islands.
