Helena Bonham Carter To Star In Nick Hornby Adaptation ‘Love, Nina’ for BBC

Helena_Bonham_Carter_2005British actress Helena Bonham Carter will headline the TV show based the novel by Nina Stibble called “Love, Nina.”

The show, which will be airing on BBC One , will be adapted by Nick Horby for TV and is expected to have five episodes.

“Nina Stibbe’s book has already established itself as a much-loved piece of comic writing and I love it,” Hornby said, according to The Guardian.“Her observations and worldview were the inspiration for a show that we think captures the same spirit. It’s been a joy to write and we’re thrilled with the quality of the cast.”

“Love, Nina” is filled with letters written by the lead character, Nina, which charts her experiences as a nanny in London during the 80’s. The story is a celebration of “family and friendship in all its chaotic glory,” according to the network.

Nina will be played by Faye Marsay, while Ethan Rouse and Harry Webster will play the young boys Nina is tasked to care for. Bonham Carter will play their mom.

The series will be directed by SJ Clarkson, who reunites with Bonham Carter after doing “Toast.”

Filming for “Love, Nina” will begin in the city this month.
