In line with the six-part limited series return of “The X-Files,” Fox is encouraging the show’s fans to watch the earlier episodes of the series online for 201 days.

The announcement was made via “The X Files” on Twitter, where it enjoins fans to count down to the premiere of the revival series in 2016 by watching one episode a day of the original series. The past episodes are all available for streaming on Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime, and of course, there’s the complete DVD episode releases, which can be collected.

There are, however, no announcement as to whether the show will be accessed on Fox On Demand or not, but fans of the series already have all these options to re-watch the show.

Along with the count down invitation, the series has also released its first teaser of the revival, hinting a new scene from the upcoming episode. Keep your eyes peeled on the 30-second mark for a glimpse of Mulder and Scully in present day.

“The X-Files” will return on Fox on January 24, 2016. The series brings back David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, as the FBI agents who are tasked to investigate the paranormal and the supernatural. The series ran for nine seasons in the 1990s to the early 2000s and has spawned a cult following of loyal fans.
