WWE Rumors: Hulk Hogan wants match at Wrestlemania 32

Years ago, hearing about Hulk Hogan in a main event match at one of the grandest annual stages of the WWE would be a blockbuster. But take note, years ago.

After making an appearance in Wrestlemania 31 where Hogan, along with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall appeared to provide Sting (Steve Borden) some help during his match when Degeneration X (X-Pac, Road Dog, Billy Gunn and later on Shawn Michaels) appeared, it looks like Hogan felt the electricity once more and the unexplainable feeling of being in front of 70,000 plus screaming fans.

And whether critics believe that Hogan may have gone overboard or not, the Immortal One wants another match next year when Wrestlemania 32 is held at the AT&T Center in Texas.

The report came from sportingnews.com where Hogan expressed hope that he could have one last match. He was mentioning something about a world title match or a retirement match.

“In my world and if you’re in my brain right now, I’m looking at WrestleMania next year at AT&T Stadium. I’m looking at the WWE breaking my indoor attendance record of 93,000-plus at the stadium where the Cowboys play. Put that ring in the middle of the field and load that football field up with people, you’re going to put over 100,000 in there. So in my mind, it would make sense to have world title match, my next run start there or my retirement match happen there. If you’re in my brain you’re thinking oh my God, I better be ready just in case they let me do it.”

Some may say that Hogan may be nuts to even consider the thought although the WWE could work on that. Considering the hype surrounding the possible participation of Ronda Rousey against Stephanie McMahon (either in mixed tag or singles), why not include Hogan who has been at the helm of countless Wrestlemania events in the past.

However, the type of match may be under scrutiny. Having Hogan go up against Seth Rollins or whoever may be the WWE Heavyweight champion by that time doesn’t sound like a crowd-drawing match. And we all know how the WWE takes the fan base seriously, seeing how Roman Reigns practically got booted out of a supposed crowning over Brock Lesnar.

A retirement match may sound better although one has to think if this one would actually be it. Hogan has been in matches against Shawn Michaels and the Rock (Dwayne Johnson) before and for viewers, many felt that those final matches were indirectly meant to be Hogan’s last matches.

Officially though, he hasn’t retired from the ring and perhaps he wanted a ceremony similar to what Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels had when both were given a send-off.

If Hogan does eventually get his wish, there would be three matches featuring WWE Hall of Famers who are no longer among the active ones we see today.

There is that speculated Sting vs Undertaker match and that Triple H vs. Rock setto. Who could Hogan possibly face? Also, he would need clearance to perform once more.

For now nothing comes to mind. Hogan may have to wrestle a bit to wake up his fan base and develop a small rivalry with one of the existing wrestlers or the ones who have technically hung up their tights.

Any guesses? Who would be willing to take on 62 year old wrestler in one of the grandest stages of them all? Maybe Hogan thinks he can do a Rocky Balboa and hopefully he doesn’t get hurt in the process.
